Awesome family-run operation with a great atmosphere! Farm is on top-notch and the cottage used as living quarters will make you feel like at home! Definitely recommended as long as you have a strong work ethic and machinery operation knowledge!
We were very well looked after and catered for and trusted with machinery. There’s a great balance of work and social life. We were very lucky to have a good team around us which made the whole harvest a lot easier and enjoyable. The whole experience was great, and I think we couldn’t have picked a better farm to do our first Aussie harvest with.
Pine Hills is a great place to be. Can not wish for a better work atmosphere and in addition to that, Lisa and Kirk have been the most wonderful and welcoming with their whole family. There is no problems you can not talk with them and they always give their best to help you. Will recommend to all backpackers 10/10.
You can't wish for a better place to work.
The Jeitz family are the most loving and generous people to be around.
Working at Pinehills is a lot more than work.
It simply makes you a better and more knowledgeable person. Thanks' for that.
I joined the team two years later with great pleasure.
The Jeitz family will always have
a special place in my heart.
I spent 3 months working on Pinehills Pastoral for harvest and loved every minute of it. Very friendly work environment and lovely people, Kirk and Lisa were like parents to me, they were great. Nothing was any trouble to them, and you could go to them with any issues. If we were ever working late, they would even bring food out to us on the machines which was lovely. Very caring people. Always paid on time and never any issues with anything. Even years after I worked on the farm, I requested some forms off Lisa and she got them for me immediately, couldn't ask for better. I'd go back and work there in a heartbeat if time allowed.
Worked in Pinehills almost 9 months, did seeding and harvest '22. I can say, that:
- Well organized and innovative family farm.
- Supportive work environment and you can definitely learn a lot from them if you are open minded! Plus really friendly managers!
- New and well maintained machinery.
- Good house for backpackers, enough room for everyone. Pinehills location is perfect
- Esperance and beautiful beaches are close by!
Very welcoming team, everything’s done properly, and the kit is immaculate making everything run smooth and stress free.
10/10 great family and setup to work for!
Harvest and Ripping 2019/2020
We had such a good time with a great team at Pinehills. We will never forget the awesome 3 months we had. Thanks for everything we learned
and the family atmosphere.
"Best people I've ever worked for,
I really never wanted to leave"
Luke and I can’t rate our experience at Pinehills highly enough!
We were so lucky to score a season of seeding whilst we were travelling Australia.
Luke, with a background in farming, was impressed to be operating the 60-foot seeder, whilst I discovered the fine art of rock picking! We learnt so much from the very generous and patient Kirk, Lisa, Hayden and Roger, and were so impressed with the way they ran their program. It was a very friendly atmosphere to be a part of and we enjoyed witnessing the passion and pride that went into every task on the farm.
As Kirk would say, it’s all about the one percenters!
We had some amazing opportunities whilst working for Pinehills and made lifelong friends. We have even been blessed to have Roger and Gaile visit us all the way over in Victoria! Our shared accommodation was fantastic and meals were always incredible, hearty and nutritious. I would encourage anyone who is considering employment at Pinehills to jump straight in! You will not be disappointed.
